Sound of Chimteka

The Sound of Chimteka is an intercultural music project combining rural African singing with modern electronic music. All field recordings were made during a two week trip in the rural areas of Mchinji.

Cassiel – co-founder of the Duesseldorf based label “candomblé” joined us and recorded over 10 full acapella songs and multiple, unique and brilliant field recordings with the church choir of Chimteka Village.

Sound of Chimteka is an open source, charity music project. It invites everyone to take part and create something new and beautiful with the help of his/her own creativity and pure beauty and power of the singing of the African choir.
Every produced song will be released by the Kumanga e.V. and all profits go to the clean water projects in Mchinji, Malawi.

The Kumanga e.V. is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded by us and many more people in 2016 in Duesseldorf, Germany to finance clean water projects in Africa.
